REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Habib M. Rizieq Shihab stated Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat has insulted Islamic teaching through his speech in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. 

Habib Rizieq said he has observed the video recording of Viktor's speech thoroughly. The duration of Viktor's speech was 21 minutes 12 seconds.

The High Priest of Front Pembela Islam (Islamic Defenders Front) claimed to hear it repeatedly in order to avoid misunderstanding. After hearing it for many times, he concluded Viktor had blaspheme Islamic teaching.

"It was clear and unmistakable that Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat alias Vecky has broken the law and ethic, to belittle the teachings of Islam," Habib Rizieq said in a recorded voice statement from Mecca, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday (August 8).

Habib Rizieq considered Viktor's speech has slandered Islamic teaching on Islamic caliphate. Victor also has spread hatred among religious believers, clashed the Indonesian against each other and threatened to slaughter Muslims.

"Therefore, I appeal to all Muslims in Indonesia to process Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat alias Vecky in accordance to the law," he said.
