Police to coordinate with KPK today

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian confirmed that he will visit the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office on Monday (June 19) afternoon. "I will come at 14.00 pm," he said at Monas area, Central Jakarta, on Monday.

Tito said he wanted to coordinate with KPK. Both parties would discuss the case of toxic liquid splashing to KPK's senior investigator Novel Baswedan.

"I and the investigator team would meet KPK leaders," he said.

Tito was reluctant to say in detail about the meeting. He said to give a statement about Novel's case in KPK office.

Jakarta Metro Police Chief M. Iriawan was also reluctant to give any statement. He said to discuss it first. “We would have a meeting,” said Iriawan in Central Jakarta on Monday (June 19).

Previously, police said to have a meeting with KPK to discuss the progress of the toxic liquid splashing to Novel Baswedan. They would discuss the strategy and strengthening steps to get the assailants.
