Interpol has not receive red notice submission for Rizieq

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol had not received any submission of red notice for Habib Muhammad Rizieq Shihab until Thursday (June 8). Rizieq has been named as suspect of pornographic case and alleged to be in Saudi Arabia.

"There has not been any red notice submitted. I don’t know,” said the Secretary of NCM Interpol Naufal Yahya in Jakarta on Thursday (June 8).

Naufal said Interpol would take a review if the red notice already submitted. But, he could not be sure how long would it be. He said the case would be proceeded when the requirements of crime case.

Jakarta Metro Police named Habib Muhammad Rizieq Shihab as a suspect on May 29. The Head of Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was accused to violate Law of Pornography in his Whatsapp chat with Firza Husein which allegedly contained steamy conversation whether in the form of text and pictures.

Habib Rizieq legal team said their client was getting his umrah pilgrim in Saudi Arabia. They said Habib Rizieq would come back to Indonesia before Eid-ul Fitr. Jakarta Metro Police included Rizieq into a wanted list and submitted a red notice to Interpol.
