REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of the Supreme Audit Board (BPK) Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara said here on Friday that the authority needs to publish the state budget information online to support the electronic auditing process.
"The auditing process will be improved further if the agency can access the information on state budget online," Moermahadi stated when delivering an auditing report on the financial reports of ministries and state's top offices in Jakarta.
He further stated that awareness toward e-auditing system needs the government's support.
Hence, Moermahadi hoped that in the future any government's financial reports could be published online so it would improve the transparency of the auditing process.
During a similar occasion, Coordinating Minister for Economy Darmin Nasution welcomed the agency's proposal to increase the effective and transparency of the auditing process.
"(In order to make the e-auditing system more established), I hope the cooperation between the government and state audit agency can be improved in the future," Darmin reiterated.
In the earlier days, the government received the very first reasonable without exceptions (WTP) status on its 2016 financial report.
The achievement has been supported by an increasing number of ministries and top state offices that got a similar status from 56 in 2015 to 74 in 2016.
Earlier this year, the agency launched two e-auditing platforms, including the national standard on checking the state budget (SPKN) and the advanced financial controlling application (SIPTL).
