Francois Hollande is interested in learning tolerance in Indonesia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The President of France Francois Hollande argued that Indonesia had a very good tolerance. He saw Indonesia with its diverse ethnics, cultures, and religions has not been threatened acts of extremism and terrorism.

Hollande looked at Indonesia as a Muslim majority country and a country with most Muslims in the world. Diversity was protected under the meaning of unity that firmly held by the society. 

"Indonesia showed a tolerance of unity that being an inspiration for us. It was the same principle of freedom and tolerance we hold now,” said him in a press conference during a visit to Presidential Palace on Wednesday (March 29). 

According to Hollande, the existence of the unity concept that became the Indonesian basic had strengthened the society’s life in Indonesia. He thought the spirit to unite able to protect the country from terrorism and to avoid discrimination.
