REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - A political observer from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Siti Zuhro, said the three pairs of candidates in the Jakarta gubernatorial elections demonstrated a good performance during the prime candidate debate on Friday (January 13).  She also praised the performance of candidate number 1, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, as not necessarily being doubted.  "I think no need to be doubtful of Agus. In fact, from the beginning, Agus is not necessarily to be doubted," said Siti when contacted by Republika.co.id on Saturday.

Overall, Siti said, Anies Baswedan’s performance was good. During the lime limit, the Former Education Minister who is candidate number 3 was good at sorting out the vocabularies in delivering his thought.

“Anies is good at speaking the words, taken the good vocabularies in a relatively short time. His stage performance is good, he is man of the stage," said Siti.

Different from the two other candidates, she said that the candidate number 2, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), looked worried. He looked to be worried that he showed his original behavior after trying to act calm and polite. 

"The fear was in the incumbent (Ahok). Scared of something being out from the scenario. Worried that (the original behavior) could be showed out," said Siti.
