KPU to challange candidates in three themes for public debate

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Ahead of the election of the Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor on February 15, 2017, a period of campaign will enter the stage of public debate. The Chairman of Jakarta KPU, Sumarno, explained, there will be three themes to be discussed in the public debate.

"The first is social issues, such as employment, poverty, security and comfort. Secondly, health and education. The third is the environment and transportation," he said in Bintang Griyawisata Hotel, on Friday.

Sumarno said the debate will be held for three times. "It will be held on Friday night, all the session will be conducted on Friday night. On January 13 and 27, and February 10, 2016," he explained.

The public debate will be divided into six segments. The first segment is the opening; the second was the exposure of the vision and mission of the candidates. Three candidates will deepen their vision and mission. Segment four and five is frequently asked questions (FAQ) and objections, and the sixth segment is a closing statement from the candidates.
