REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Dozens of businessmen from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) were following the tax amnesty program.

In fact, the fund from this program has reached Rp65.9 trillion. Total funds comprise of redemptions and taxes.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani welcomed the big employers who campaigns to other businessmen to register for tax amnesty program. Sri said, the group of businessmen who attended the Kadin meeting on Tuesday (27/9) afternoon declared their assets, as well as paying redemption.

"I am happy and hope this moment will boost synergistic relationship among government and the business," he said.

Sri said, with tax amnesty program, Kadin could provide a major contribution to the Indonesia's economic development.

Sri believed, the strength of the national economy will impact on the business. That is, employers must be willing to contribute to the economic stability, especially the growth of the Indonesian economy, including number of employment opportunities.

"The most valuable thing is the data that it has generated, including declarations of assets of various kinds. And this will create strong foundation for the Indonesian economy," Sri said.

In the other hand, the Director General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance Ken Dwijugiasteadi said privately he was not satisfied with the results of the first period the Tax Amnesty Program for reporting the value of the property and the ransom is still small.

"I'm not satisfied with the value, I will never be satisfied anyway," he said after attending the Annual Report Award 2015 in Dhanapala Building on Tuesday night.

Towards the implementation of the second period the Tax Amnesty Program, Ken hopes that many taxpayers will still follow the program.

Meanwhile, ADB chief representative in Indonesia Steven Tabor said the redemption fund from the tax amnesty program had an added value to increase the state revenues, but the impact is not very significant until the end of the first period on September 30, 2016.
