Indonesian duo Owi/Butet win gold medal at Rio Olympics

Indonesian mixed doubles Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir won gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics Games on Wednesday.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, RIO DE JANEIRO  --  Indonesian mixed doubles Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir won gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics Games on Wednesday. Indonesia grabbed gold medal after beating Malaysian mixed doubles Chan Peng Soon/ Goh Liu Ying in staight game 21-14, 21-12.

Mission is accomplished. Owi/Butet, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir used to be called, gave the best gift for Indonesians who celebrate the 71st Indonesia's Independence Day.

Earlier, Liliyana's best achievement was a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics Games with  the partner Nova Widianto.
