REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANTUL  -- Cultural and Education Minister Muhadjir Effendy has the idea of full day school system in Indonesia. This controversial full day school plan criticized by public.  

Muhadjir said he may still continue the idea of full day school. Muhadjir added the extra hours at school will be used for character building activities.

"Full day school (plan) continues. This (idea) relates to character building in elementary and junior high school level," Muhadjir said in Yogyakarta on Wednesday.

Muhadjir is currently reviewing and considering the technic of full day school system in Indonesia. The full day school plan proposed by Mudhadjir become polemic in Indonesia.

Former Cultural and Education Minister Anies Baswedan doesn't want to give any comment about the idea of full day school system proposed by Muhadjir.  

"About (idea of full day school system) i don't want to give any comment. My job (as Cultural and Education Minister) is finished. I do really respect the new minister. He (new minister) has the right to propose the direction of (cultural and education) policies including full day school system," Anies said in Jakarta.
