REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA -- Management of Gembira Loka Zoo, Yogyakarta, has invited Pokemon Go fans hunting pokemon throughout the zoo area.

Head of Public Relations of Gembira Loka Zoo (GL Zoo) Khrisyanto Agung Wibowo said the zoo management has decided provide 13 Pokestop or special areas for hunting pokemon in order to facilitate the fans of this game.

"Rather than hunt pokemon on the highway or in government offices, we provide in GL Zoo," Agung said in Yogyakarta on Saturday (23/7).

According to the Agung, a game which utilizes technology of augmented reality that does not disrupt of tourism activity in GL Zoo. Instead the game was actually has significant impact on the number of visits.

"From 12:00 a.m until 02:00 p.m the number of teen visitors at GL Zoo is significant," he said.

Management of GL Zoo even held "Pokemon Go Lure Party @GL Zoo" which organized especially for fans of this game from Saturday to Sunday (24/7). The management has opened all of public area in the zoo to pokemon game and hunting.

"GL Zoo trying follow trends," he said.

A fan of "Pokemon Go", Henri Wijaya while visiting GL Zoo feel happy with the management policy of GL Zoo organizes special activities for fans of "Pokemon Go". Thus the man from Balikpapan, East Kalimantan said he can play while traveling.

"The five of us, with my mother and younger brother, all playing Pokemon Go," he said.
