REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- China Fortune Land Development (CFLD) is ready to invest US$100 million to develop industrial estates in Indonesia.

"We are ready to invest around US$100 million. We also have an office in Jakarta and a representative in Singapore," CFLD President Jerry Zhao said after a meeting with Industry Minister Saleh Huin here on Wednesday.

Jerry noted that Indonesia is high on the list of the company's priorities when it comes to investing abroad and it wants to contribute towards developing the Indonesian economy by developing industrial estates.

"We are the biggest company in the industrial estate sector, and are focusing on industrial estate development. We are seeking a chance not only in Java but also outside Java," he added.

Meanwhile, Director General of the Resilience and Development of Access to International Industries at the Industry Ministry, Harjanto, underlined that the company also plays a role in promoting investment and stands a good chance to develop in Indonesia.

"They focus on developing industrial estates and smart cities. They also play a role as investment promoter and can bring investment to Indonesia," he stated.

Harjanto hoped that the government will encourage the company to develop industrial estates which have not been growing well in the country.
