REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEKASI -- Department of transportation in Bekasi, West Java, has provided about 500 buses for homecoming of Eid 1437 Hijri/2016 in terminal of Bekasi.
"We have prepared 350 regular buses and 150 substitute buses," Head Office Technical Implementation unit of transportation depatment of Bekasi, Fatikhun, Friday (17/6).
He added, the bus will be operated from eight days before peak Eid momentum.
"Wednesday (29/6) is estimated to be peak of homecoming, mostly workers and students are off," he said.
Fatikhun added, reserve buses from PT Jakarta Transportation (Transjakarta) also stand by.
"If all buses can not able to handle the travelers, then we will prepare the transport of Transjakarta buses," he said.
However, Transjakarta bus service only serve short routes like Jakarta Bogor Depok Tangerang Bekasi (Jabodetabek).
"If 500 regular buses we have prepared for a number of cross the cities and cross the province, whereasTransjakarta only for Jabodetabek route," he said.
