REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA --  Indonesia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Rudiantara said the National Cyber Agency (BCN) prioritized three sectors to prevent the threat of cyber crime.

Rudi said that statement when asked on the progress of the BCN is now being processed by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security.

"The three sectors namely financial of banking, transport, especially air transport, until energy and natural resources sector," Rudi said in Jakarta, Friday (17/6).

Rudi added, three sectors are important because based on the information he received from some countries, these sectors are critical sectors that require special attention.

"In Indonesia three sectors are not critical, just only to be priority. When three sectors finished, we can go into other sectors," he said.

And about the role of his agency in pioneering BCN, Rudi said that in generally, it is under the authority of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security. While  Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will focus on making the safety standards in the needed sectors.

"If standardization has made, it is not a problem when BCN handled by anyone," he said.
