Sukabumi prepares land for Citarate Airport

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SUKABUMI -- The local administration of Sukabumi, West Java is preparing to build Citarate airport that located in the southern area. The existence of these airports is intended to facilitate access to tourists visit and encourage the development of the agricultural sector.

"We've mapped out and prepares the land for the construction of the airport," the Regional Secretary (Secretary) Sukabumi Iyos Somantri told to reporters on Thursday (16/6).

Prepared land areas was 300 hectares in two subdistricts namely Ciracap and Surade. Iyos added, 300 hectares of land will be divided into two parts. First, the land area of 165 hectares will be built as main area of the airport. While the 135 hectares is to build aimed support the airport facility. Iyos said, the process of acquiring land has not yet been done, because the stages are still waiting for instructions from the provincial government. Known, the construction of airports Citarate is a plan of the provincial government.

Vice Regent of Sukabumi Adjo Sardjono added that construction of this airport will increase the economic growth of Sukabumi residents. And access to the south Sukabumi will be easier compared using land transportation.

Adjo said, the airport is named Citarate due to mostly its place located in the village of Citarate, subdistrict Ciracap. He hope the airport planning and development process (APDP) can be done in as soon as possible. Moreover, Feasibility Study and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) already existed.
