Peak of homecoming flows in Jakarta-Cikampek toll estimated on July 1

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEKASI -- State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga has predicted the peak of annual homecoming flow of Eid 2016 in Jakarta-Cikampek Toll predicted on Friday, July 1.

"Our predictions, people are off on Monday (4/7). But they will leave to their village on Friday (1/7) for stay longer in the village," said Public Relations of Jasa Marga Jakarta-Cikampek Iwan Abrianto in Bekasi, on Thursday (16/6).

Iwan said, most passengers will be dominated by private vehicles and public transport leading to the northern coast area (Pantura) through the corridor of Cipali.

Meanwhile, travelers who head to Purwakarta, Bandung, and Cikampek, West Java expected to entering the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Saturday (2/7) and Sunday (3/7).

"We worry about when Eid or after Eid prayer, usually the travelers to short distance such as Cikarang, Karawang and Jakarta will increase," he said.

Iwan added, the number of vehicles on peak season of homecoming flow predicted no differently with the same situation in 2015.

"I predict the number of vehicles on peak of forth flow below 119 thousand vehicles, or not far with number of travelers in 2015," he said.
