REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDAR LAMPUNG -- Lampung's exports of instant coffee totaled 59.5 tons valued at US$523,032 in March down from the previous month.
"The exports fell from 66 tons valued at US$588,000 in February," head of the regional trade office Ferynia said here on Monday.
Fernya said Lampung exports instant coffee to a number of other countries mainly ASEAN countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
Exports have also been made to other regions like Middle East and Europe, he said.
Lampung have exported instant coffee regularly to those countries although the volume and value have fluctuated, he added.
The export prospects are encouraging and market promotion has continued in other regions to increase exports, he said.
Promotion is made by taking part in trade fair, through pamphlets and website, he said.
Lampung also is a major producer and exporter of coffee beans mainly robusta coffee beans.
The province has 163,837 hectares with bean production averaging 110,000 tons per year.
