Foreign minister: no secret meeting with Israel

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi asserted she and all her staff never made a secret meeting with Israel. He affirmed that the Israeli allegations over secret meeting that was not true.

"I can confirm once again that what they said about the secret meeting was not there," Retno told Republika.co.id after meeting in Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs office on Thursday (17/3).

Israel claimed Retno was barred from visiting Ramallah because she violated understandings reached during Israeli official's secret visit to Jakarta.

Retno said the Indonesian government never made any communication with Israel. About the allegation, Israelis secretly come to Indonesia, Retno claimed, did not know anything.

"Yes I do not know. But, did they say because they relate to me. Foreign Affairs Ministry never, never," Retno said firmly.
