REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Candidate governor of Jakarta Sandiaga Uno encouraged acceleration of Asian Games 2018 facilities development. Jakarta as the organizers already did not have enough time.

"Incidentally Jakarta provincial government will work on equestrian and velodrome. The velodrome will be the most advanced in Southeast Asia," Sandiaga told Republika on Wednesday (2/3).

Indonesia is set to host the 2018 Asian Games. The event will be held in Jakarta and Palembang.

Construction process, Sandiaga said, sometimes hampered by the weather. If not implemented accelerated development immediately it would likely be delayed.

"So I strongly encourage the development acceleration," he asserted.
