REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Provincial Government DKI Jakarta will apply plastic bag policy. According to the mechanism, retailers should charge consumers Rp 200 for each plastic bag.
DKI Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama will follow Environment and Forestry Minister instruction.
"The decision for Rp 200, we must follow [it]..that is the decision," said Governor familiarly called Ahok said on Monday (22/2).
Ahok refuse to comment if there is any changes in the future related to previous Vice Governor DKI Jakarta Djarot Saiful Hidayat plan to increase plastic bag price to Rp 5.000 for retail and Rp 200 for traditional market.
The plastic bag policy regulated in circular letter of Environment and Forestry Ministry No S 1230/PSLB3-PS/2016 about price and plastic bag application mechanism. According to the rule, plastic bag price is Rp 200.
