JK admits ministers often to have different opinions

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) admitted if some ministers often to have different option when they discussed and solved about several problems. He requested that the ministers should improve their coordination.

"Actually, they do their own tasks, but they required better coordination," JK said on Friday (29/1) at Vice President Office, Jakarta.

 

He explained the differences of opinion arise from a technical point of implementation. For example, the disagreements that happened between Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Trade. They discussed about food problems.

However, JK said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has called both of the ministers to solve that problem. He emphasized they should coordinate each other to implement government programs.

Moreover, JK gave example for problem that related to Minister of Transportation disagreements with the government about Jakarta-Bandung fast train project. He assessed the disagreements appeared because Minister of Transport wanted to keep the procedure that suitable, even though the government asked to do acceleration of bureaucracy.
