REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALEMBANG -- South Sumatra Governor, Alex Noerdin reminded all the local society to alert dengue fever. The spread of this disease was always increased in rainy season.
"In this rainy season, dengue fever often happens. Everyone can be infected by this disease, so we must be very careful," Alex said on Thursday (28/1).
He warned that people should keep healthy life. Every level of society must keep their clean environment. Moreover, sow abates at home, such as in the bathtub.
Alex said health department and every hospital must prepare to face the dengue fever. Medicines that related to treat this disease should always be available.
He explained, better to prevent dengue fever before late. Therefore, people should always be alert.
As the data from South Sumatra health department, at least there was 546 dengue fever spread cases in the local districts and city. Nine people known died because this disease.
