REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,n JAKARTA -- The management of Ragunan Zoo located in South Jakarta has estimated that at least 100 thousand holidaymakers would visit the zoo on the first day of 2016.

"Certainly, we have prepared adequate parking spaces and deployed security officers, service, and health personnel," the zoo's spokesman, Wahyudi Bambang, stated here, Friday.

Since the last two weeks, the number of visitors has increased significantly owing to the school holidays.

On Sunday (Dec. 27), the zoo received some 110 thousand visitors.

In the meantime, the management of Ancol Dream Land is optimistic of witnessing a 500 percent increase in the number of visitors on the first day of January 2016.

The number of visitors might reach 150 thousand, compared to 30 thousand on a working day, Communication Manager of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Rika Lestari stated here, Friday.

On New Year's Eve, some 200 thousand people flocked to the recreational center of Ancol, she said.

The Fantasy World (Dufan) and Sea World are among the favorite spots in Ancol.

On a regular day, some four to five thousand people visit Dufan or the Sea World, and on January 1, the Ancol management hopes that the two attractions would draw at least 10 thousand visitors.
