Pertamina adds LPG supply

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- PT Pertamina (Persero) increased supply of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) as much as 7.19 percent or to 5,729 metric tons per day in order to anticipate the increase in consumer demand for Christmas and New Year 2016.

"Increasing the supply is based on the experience of previous years during the Christmas and the new year holidays," said General Manager of Pertamina Marketing Operation Region III Jumali, in his statement in Bandung, Friday (25/12).

He estimated fuel oil (BBM) premium type over Christmas and New Year 2016 holidays in Jakarta, West Java, and Banten would increase by 3 percent. Jumali stated that availability and supply of fuel oil and LPG during Christmas and New Year 2016 is guaranteed, ie a premium of up to 19 days, diesel of up to 32 days, LPG of up to seven days, and aviation fuel of up to 11 days.

Jumali predicted that the consumption of premium would have increased from 21 thousand kiloliters per day, while diesel fell by 4 percent lower than normal as much as 8,400 kiloliters per day.

Meanwhile, Vice President Corporate Communications of Pertamina Wianda Pusponegoro said, stock and availability of fuel oil and LPG at the end of this year is safe.

"The availability of national fuel is for more than 20 days on average," she added.
