REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo is expected to open the Sulsel Super League Under 21 (SSL U-21) here on January 15, 2016, according to a spokesman.
Chairman of the SSL U-21 organizing committee Sri Syahril made the statement here on Thursday, hoping that Makassar Mayor Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto would also attend the event.
He said 25 soccer clubs have registered to participate in the tournament, which will be held from January 15 to March 3, 2016.
Pomanto further remarked that only 16 clubs out of the 25 teams will be allowed to take part in the tournament.
The clubs that will compete include PS Persis, Perseka Bosowa, PS Semen Bosowa, PSM U-21, PS Swadiri, Persiban Bantaeng, Persim Maros, PS Bina Asih, PS Lau Huru, PS Persiwa Wajo, PS Pertamina, and Hingga PS Bina Marga, he said, adding that the tournament offers prize money amounting to Rp100 million.
