REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Resources Rizal Ramli clarified about the news related to granting visa free visits to Israel. Rizal explained, there are 95 countries proposed, including Israel, to get visa free visits to Indonesia, but only 84 countries approved.

"From 95 countries proposed, 11 of them are not approved," he said in Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Resources office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (22/12).

The 11 countries were not included because of three reasons. First, they were actively involved in drugs trade. Second, they were actively exporting ideology of violence, such as ISIS.

"We do not want to be influenced by such idelology," he added.

Rizal asserted, the third reason was because of Indonesia has no diplomatic relations with the country, such as Israel.
