Newly elected KPK leaders swear-in

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The inauguration ceremony of newly elected of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders 2015-2019 had held at the State Palace, Monday (21/12). Five elected KPK leaders, namely Agus Rahardjo, Basaria Panjaitan, Alexander Marwarta, Laode M Sharif, and Saut Situmorang, swore-in witnessed by President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla.

"I swear that I will not accept any gift in the form of anything from anyone I knew," the leaders said.

All five were appointed as KPK leaders by Presidential Decree No. 133 P of 2015 on the Appointment of KPK Leaders 2015-2019. After the inauguration ceremony, they officially served as leaders of the institution.

Furthermore, the event was continued with the signing of the decree. Then, President Jokowi, Vice President Kalla and dozens of other guests greeted the new leadership of the Commission.

The whole series of events were witnessed by a number of cabinet ministers and leaders of government agencies, among others, Deputy Speaker of the House Fadli Zon, Deputy Speaker of the House Agus Herman, Chairman of the Assembly Zulkifli Hasan, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly Oesman Sapat Odang and Chief Justice Hatta Ali.
