REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- State Electricity Company (PLN) guaranteed availability of electricity for public transport Light Rail Transit (LRT). Distribution Manager of PLN Jakarta-Tangerang I Putu Riasa said, PLN was ready to supply any demand requested by LRT.

"We can supply any demands. We now can say, used electricity as comfortable as possible," said I Putu Riasa in Jakarta, Sunday (20/12).

Putu explained, electrical availability for LRT would be a priority of PLN. It was because LRT would be used as a means of public transport. Furthermore, the availability of electricity would be also always maintained, so that public transport would not stop half way.

Jakarta Provincial Government planned to build seven LRT corridor along 70 km. The route was from Kebayoran Lama to Kelapa Gading (21.6 km); Tanah Abang to Pulo Mas (17.6 km); Joglo to Tanah Abang (11 km); Puri Kembangan to Tanah Abang (9.3 km); Pesing to Kelapa Gading (20.7 km); Pesing to Soekarno Hatta Airport (18.5 km); and Cempaka Putih to Ancol (10 km).
