Rio Haryanto receives award from PP IMI

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian driver Rio Haryanto received an award from Central Board of Association of Motor Indonesia (PP IMI) as an appreciation of his achievements in the international arena.

"Rio is one of the best Indonesian driver. He even gained support from Ministry of Youth and Sport to undergo F1," said Chairman of PP IMI, Nanan Sukarna, on IMI Award in Jakarta, Thursday (17/12).

Not only Rio Haryanto, PP IMI also gave awards to other drivers who have experienced in the international arena, such as Subhan Aksa who followed APRC race and Presley Martono who followed CIK-FIA European KF Junior.

Awards were also given to senior drivers, such as Fitra Eri for being the best in Malaysian Championship Series. Besides Fitra, there were also go-kart drivers who followed Rotax Max Grand Final in Portugal, namely Silvano Christian, Keanon Santoso, Ananda Julio Prost, Senna Noor, Nabil Hutasuhut, and Joshua Senna Irawan.

PP IMI also gave awards to two-wheeler riders, such as Ahmad Yudhistira, Dimas Ekky Pratama, M Fadli, and Gupita Krishna who followed Asia Road Racing.

The award was also given to the sponsors who have been instrumental in the development of motor sports in Indonesia, including Yamaha, Honda, IRC and Pertamax Plus.
