West Java International Airport offers project auction of Rp 2.116 trillion

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- PT Bandar Udara Internasional Jawa Barat (BIJB) held a Market Sounding in Bandung, Thursday (17/12). The event was attended by 40 potential investors from home and abroad, starting from infrastructure, hospitality, to banking companies.

 

According to Director of BIJB Virda Dimas, in the event, the company offered project development of BIJB Kertajati land side. The value of the tender reached Rp 2,116 trillion and divided into three packages, namely the construction of accessibility of Rp 355 billion, the construction of main terminal Rp 1.3 trillion, and the construction of other parts of Rp 416 billion.

"BIJB was entrusted to the land side as terminals and others," said Virda, Thursday (17/12).

Virda stated, authority of the project development was divided in two. First, the air side was central government's authority, starting from the tower, navigation, apron, and equipment. While, the development of the land side was under the authority of BIJB.

Through this market sounding, Virda added, she hoped there are potential investors who could invest in the construction of land side of the West Java Airport. Moreover, foreign investors are also stated its interest to invest, such as from Switzerland, Turkey, Qatar, India, China and Sweden.

"After this, we will wait for the response from the market sounding," she said.

The pre-qualification of the auction could be done in second week of January. All participants of the auction could make a list of documents. Virda hoped this project could be immediately started. BIJB has been owned the Building Permit (IMB)

Related to the market sounding, Virda said the event was intended to expose the business potential and future plans of the largest airports in West Java. She expected, information provided could convince prospective investors to contribute in the project which was located in Kertajati, Majalengka.
