REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NUSA DUA -- Acts of terror done by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) became common concern of member countries of ASEAN. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, said that terrorism is enemy of all ASEAN countries.

"In the meeting of ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur some time ago, the ASEAN countries agreed to fight against terrorism by setting objectives and operation control," said Luhut, in Conference of Indonesian Palm Oil (IPOC) 2015 in Nusa Dua, Bali, Thursday (26/11).

In Indonesia, Luhut added, radicalization and terrorism become concern of all parties, such as religious organizations (NU and Muhammadiyah), and all elements of society. Indonesia also conducted intelligence cooperation with other countries, such as Australia.

However, Luhut stressed that a military approach was not appropriate in combating ISIS. The government chose a different way, namely religious and cultural approach.
