London School of Public Relations' founder receives ASEAN people's award 2015

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The founder of London School of Public Relations, Prita Kemal Gani, became the only representative of Indonesia who received the most prestigious awards in the ASEAN People's Award 2015. The award was given in 27th ASEAN Summit, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Saturday (21/11).

Prita received the award after receiving a congratulatory letter from the Directorate General of ASEAN Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, No. 21340/KA/10/2015/41, 27th October 2015. Ambassador of Indonesia to ASEAN, Ngurah Swajaya, in the letter wrote that ASEAN People's Award 2015 is given to an individual or organization in ASEAN countries.

"Especially those who have helped and contributed in development of Southeast Asian countries," he said, in a release to Republika.co.id, Monday (23/11).

In this case, Prita presented activities related to development of the ASEAN community. She also explained its benefits to the community and showed achievements related to the development of the ASEAN community.

Prita collected many national and international awards. Earlier, Prita received an award from the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM) in 2005 for Best Practices in PR and Communications Professionals.

She also received PERHUMAS Achievement Award 2006 (Education Category) in 2006, and the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award 2009 from the Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Award 2009.
