REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PEKANBARU -- Chairman of DPD, Irman Gusman, assessed the Government of Kampar District, Riau Province, was succeeded in creating farmers with income eight times greater than his salary per month. It was done through a variety of programs that support the agricultural sector.

"Salary of Chairman of DPD was only Rp 19 million a month, while farmers in Kampar have already managed to earn more than Rp 150 million or eight times greater than my salary," said Irman, during a visit to Siak Hulu, Kampar, Monday (16/11).

Previously, a member of Rural Agricultural Training Organization of Kampar, stated that he has succeeded in carrying out agricultural synergized with fisheries and livestock.

He admitted after being trained in Rural Agricultural Training Organization, he strove to manage agricultural land and fisheries and livestock, and was succeeded to earn Rp 150 million per month.

Meanwhile, another member of Rural Agricultural Training Organization, Iman, said that he had run Independent Domestic Food and Energy (RTMPE) program, which was now the mainstay of Kampar government program.

"It used to be only a dream to be rich, but now I can make money around Rp 10 million per month," Iman explained.
