Jokowi will attend G20 Summit

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno LP Marsudi, ensured President Joko Widodo will attend the Summit of G20 in Turkey on 15th to 16th November 2015. She admitted to have met President Jokowi at the Presidential Palace to discuss preparation for attending the conference.

"We discussed the agenda of the president there," she said,Monday (9/11).

In the annual conference, Retno continued, Indonesia will raise the issue of economic growth and world financial architecture issues. However, not only about the economy, President Jokowi will also attend another agenda to discuss the issue of climate change.

G-20 or Group of 20 major economies is a group of 19 major economies in the world plus the European Union. Officially G-20 was called the Group of 20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.

The group was formed as a forum to systematically gather the forces of developed and developing economies to discuss key issues of the world economy.

Last year, Jokowi for the first time presented in the G20 summit that was held in Brisbane, Australia. Before attending the G20, the President was also coming in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in China.
