REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PANGKALPINANG -- State-owned telecommunications company PT Telkom Bangka-Belitung (Babel) Community Development Sub Area (CDSA) will establish a small and medium enterprises (SMEs) digital village in the province, according to local Telkom CDSA spokesman Darmawi.
"Telkom CDSA in making the necessary preparations to launch the SMEs digital village in Babel province in the near future," Darmawi remarked in the provincial city of Pangkalpinang on Monday.
He noted that dozens of SMEs will be merged to establish the digital village in the province.
"The digital village has been successfully established in some other regions, and therefore, we also want to replicate it in Bangka Belitung province," he remarked.
Darmawi explained that the SMEs digital village concept encompasses the comprehensive and integrated use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to support business processes in a village to ensure their greater progress, independence, and modernization.
