Two Indonesian men's doubles eliminated in Denmark Open

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Two Indonesian men's doubles were eliminated from the tournament of Denmark Open 2015 in second round match. Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan and Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi were defeated by their opponents in a match in Odense Sports Park, Odense, Denmark, Thursday (15/10) local time.

Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan were defeated by Liu Cheng and Lu Kai from China with score of 23-25, 21-23. They were already getting tight resistance from Liu and Lu since the beginning of the first round and left by 8-15.

"The opponents were not easily to be attacked. Their defense was too good when we continued to attack," said Hendra in a press release of Central Board of Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI), Friday (16/10).

Although Hendra and Ahsan could then chase the score to 20-18, the Chinese pair was able to win in the first round with 25-23. In the second round, after winning in score 18-15, Hendra-Ahsan were surrender in score 21-23.

While, Angga Pratama and Ricky Karanda Suwardi had lost from Denmark men's doubles, Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen. Angga and Ricky lost in two rounds in score 19-21, 16-21.

With the defeat of the two teams, then there were no representatives of Indonesian men's doubles in the quarter-finals of Denmark Open tournament.
