REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian women's doubles team, Greysia Polii/Nitya Krishinda Maheswari, were eliminated early in badminton tournament of Denmark Open 2015 after being defeated by Chang Ye Na/Lee So Hee in the first round.
"Our pattern of game had affected the opponent in the first game. When they were able to pursue with quick game, we actually came into play in a hurry," said Nitya after the match in Odense, Denmark, Wednesday (15/10) local time, as quoted by Public Relations and Social Media Team of Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) on their official website.
Greysia/Nitya had lost 13-21, 14-21 in the match for 45 minutes from South Korea women's double team Chang/Lee. It was balancing the record of the meeting of Greysia/Nitya with Chang/Lee to become 1-1. At the previous meeting in Korea Open 2015, the Indonesian women's double team had defeated Chang/Lee 21-15, 21-18.
"Their game is very mature. While we want a quick win and be impatient. The attacks of opponents in this tournament are different when we met in Korea," said Greysia.
PBSI women's doubles coach Eng Hian said the performance of Greysia/Nitya at the premier level tournaments superseries was not good because the mindset of his players were still often influenced by the opponent.
"When their strategy did not work, I directed that they not to be panic. But, they actually played in a panic. Their mindset should be formed again," said Eng Hian.
Despite losing in Denmark, Greysia/Nitya would be competing at the level of super series tournament in French Open in 2015.
