Three teams search for 78 Indonesian pilgrims who still missing

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MECCA -- A total of 78 pilgrims from Indonesia were still not yet returned to their lodgings after Mina incident, Thursday (24/9). Head of Work Area of Mecca, Arsyad Hidayat, speed up the search process by forming three teams.

"Firstly, the first team will gather data of Indonesian pilgrims who have not been returned," Arsyad said, in a press release received by Republika.co.id, Wednesday (30/9).

Furthermore, the second team will search the pilgrims in several hospitals in Saudi Arabia, such as Mina Al Wadi Hospital, Mina Al Jisr Hospital, Zahir Hospital, Syisyah Hospital, and the Military Hospital in Awali. The search also will be done in hospitals outside Mecca, such as National Guard Hospital in Jeddah and Hada Hospital in Ta'if. Lastly, the last team will identify the bodies in Majma 'Ath-Thawari Bil Mu'aishim.

According to Arsyad, there are two patterns that are used in identifying the bodies. The first identification is through files containing data in the form of bracelets, handbags, scarves, Administration Documents, bus cue cards, hotel cue cards, and more.

The second identification is through cooperation with Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team of Saudi Arabia to obtain fingerprint data of Indonesian pilgrims that were already taken.

Here is list of 78 pilgrims from Indonesia who had not yet returned:

1. Fleet BTH 14 as many as 9 people

2. Fleet SUB 48 as many as 12 people

3. Fleet JKS 61 as many as 37 people

4. Fleet UPG 10 as many as 4 people

5. Fleet SOC 62 as many as 6 people

6. Fleet SUB 28 as many as 4 people

7. Fleet BPN 5 as many as 1 person

8. Fleet JKG 33 as many as 1 person

9. Fleet JKS 21 as many as 2 people

10. Fleet LOP 9 as many as 1 person

11. Fleet SUB 34 as many as 1 person
