REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- DVI team of Papua Police could not identified the remaining pieces of Trigana Air victims, which crashed on 16th August in Oksob, Papua.
Head of medical and health of Papua Police, Dr. Ramond, admitted that the package received on Monday afternoon contained fragments of victims, but the team was no longer able to identified it. Manual identification through teeth and fingerprints can no longer be done, so that the team waited for the DNA results.
Meanwhile, residents of Oksibil, had sent a kulbox containing flakes of Trigana aircraft with flight code PK-YRN ATR42. The DVI team currently identified 27 of the 54 passengers and crew who became victims of the crash.
The 27 bodies of victims who had been identified, had entirely been handed over to the family for burial. While, victims that had not been identified, were still awaiting the results of DNA tests conducted in Jakarta.
