REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIPANAS –- Chairman of Democratic Party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) gave five important notes for candidates in the elections of regional leaders in 2015, especially those who are from Democratic Party members.
“First note is, in the campaign, candidates for regional leaders must explain to the people how to promote the region that they will be leading,” SBY said, in Cipanas, Saturday (29/8).
SBY said that the members of Democratic Party who become candidates for regional leaders have to explain how he advances the region to achieve the welfare of the local people.
The second note is, the candidates do not give any promises that cannot be fulfilled, for instance, promising economic growth up to eight percent. It is because people are already smart in assessing promises said by the leader candidates, whether it would be realized or not.
The third note is, the candidates must ensure the economic growth will persist in the region. SBY asked the candidates to stabilize the prices and ensure the prevention of employment termination.
The fourth note is, the candidates should become a leader who revive the pro-people programs. The last note, SBY asked the candidates to maintain social harmony in each region.
“There should be no conflicts in the region, in the name of ethnicity, religion, and race,” he added.
