Government allocates Rp 313,5 trillion for developing infrastructures

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo conveyed the government's statement on the Draft Law on the State Budget 2016 and its Financial Note. In the 2016 draft budget, the largest allocation will be granted to the infrastructures

"In order to support the state budget, the government allocates Rp 313.5 trillion for infrastructure. It is greater 8 percent of the Revised State Budget 2015," he said during the plenary session of Parliament, in Jakarta, Friday (14/8).

The budget will be used to build roads, bridges, ports, construction of airports, including pioneer airports.

The President also provided macro assumptions for the draft budget 2016, those are economic growth of 5.5 percent; the inflation rate of 4.7 percent; the rupiah of Rp 13,400 per US dollar; Interest rates on Treasury Bills (SPN) 3 months by 5.5 percent; Indonesia's crude oil price of 60 dollars per barrel; and the production capacity of oil and gas for 2016 that is estimated at 1.985 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.

In the draft budget 2016, the state revenue is targeted about Rp 1848.1 trillion. Meanwhile, the planned tax revenue is targeted about Rp 1565.8 trillion. It increased by 5.1 percent from the revised budget target of 2015.

"With the target of tax revenue, the ratio of tax revenue to gross domestic product in 2016 reaches 13.25 percent," he explained.
