REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- The Head of the Criminal Investigation Police, Commissioner General Budi Waseso, said that police will examine OC Kaligis as witness. The examination is related to OC Kaligis’ lawyer who reported the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officials to police.
“As witness, he (OC Kaligis) should be examined. We will firstly send a letter to KPK,” said Budi Waseso, in Jakarta, Friday (7/8).
Kaligis examination, he continued, can be done in the Criminal Investigation Police or in KPK. “Whether he’s examined here or in KPK, it doesn’t matter,” he added.
He said that, the police is still reviewing whether the report needs to be followed up.
Previously, OC Kaligis’ lawyer team reported KPK officials to the Criminal Investigation Police. KPK was reported for kidnapping and abuse of authority. It started from when KPK set Kaligis as suspects for corruption in Medan, North Sumatra.
