REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Human Rights Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno declined to comment further on the possible involvement of the Free Papua Movement (OPM) or foreign intervention in incidents in Tolikara. He asked people to not quickly conclude the intervention of OPM in that incident.

"Don't be too quick to conclude," he said after meeting with representatives of Mubaligh Coordinating Board in Indonesia in Coordinating Ministry for Political, Law and Security (Kemenkopolhukam)’s Office, on Tuesday, July 21.

According to him, based on one of the seven points the conclusions of the Coordination Meeting in the ranks of Coordinating Ministry for Political, Law and Human Rights, on Saturday ago, July 18, the police will do a thorough investigation related to the incident as part of law enforcement.

This investigation, said Tejo, was still and continues to be done. Therefore, the public was asked to wait for the results of the police investigation and not jump to conclusions themselves, including the involvement of OPM and foreign intervention.

"Later, the police will convey the investigations results over there," explained the former Navy Staff Chief.
