Soetta Airport adds 1.400 taxis and 20 Damri buses for homecoming reverse flow

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The peak of homecoming (mudik) reverse flow in Soekarno Hatta airport (Soetta) was predicted occurred on today, Tuesday, July 21, as well as the upcoming July 25-26. To anticipate this, PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) as the manager of Soekarno Hatta airport was increasing the taxi armada with sticker as many as 1,400 units and the addition of 20 units Damri bus as a vehicle connecting the airport and the city center. In addition, AP II also added the shuttle bus that connected between the terminals at the airport.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), Budi Karya Sumadi said, the focus on this reverse flow was an improvement in passenger services. He targeted that during this reverse flow, the airport service was free of illegal taxis.

"We are trying so the passengers that have just arrived can feel comfortable in them because of the ease to get the public transport, rapid baggage claim, as well as disturbance free from the dark taxi drivers and so on," said Budi, on Tuesday, July 21.

Other service improvement, continued Budi, was the addition of 200 ground handling personnel with the aim of accelerating the passengers to be able to take luggage in the baggage claim area. Passengers now could also more easily get a trolley to transport luggage along with the increase about 1,000 trolleys to complement the existing ones.

On the other hand, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) also cooperated with the police and army to maintain security and order. Budi also added, the improvement of customer service in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport was also applied in other airports within the PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) to various adjustments.
