BG: Until D-4 homecoming flow still under control

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CILEGON -- Deputy Chief of the National Police (Wakapolri) Police General Commissioner Budi Gunawan (BG) came to Merak port to monitor the flow of Eid homecoming. BG came to Merak using helicopter that landed in the pockets of the fourth dock parking.

BG then monitored with surrounding Merak using a bus that has been provided. Without getting off the bus, BG accompanied by Banten Regional Police Chief Boy Rafly amar, Head of Port Authority Harbormaster (KSOP) Nafri, as well as branch head of ASDP Merak, Yanus Lentanga were monitoring ranging from the fifth dock to the first dock.

"We checked the readiness of the peak of homecoming flow. We check it all, especially in Banten, Merak port, which is the gateway into Sumatra, "BG said after monitoring, on Monday, July 13.

He also said that on this time, the homecoming was at good condition at Merak, and in Indonesia overall was still relatively restrained. "I looked that it is ready, and pretty good, may be maintained until the reverse flow of homecoming," he said.

On this year, BG also explained the enhancements to the travelers as much as 30 percent. While the homecoming peak was predicted will occur on Tuesday evening, July 14, or at H-3. "It is predicted if viewed from a year ago, and prediction from our intelligences, tomorrow night will be the peak of homecoming flow and it is predicted occur until July 17," he said.

While related to security, BG said there was no intention to add personnel as it was considered under control. "If necessary there will be additional. Because, there is still a reserve team on standby at the national police headquarters," he said.
