DPRD to addres delay of govt projects in Lubuk Linggau

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LUBUNK LINGGAU -- The Lubuk Linggau City Council (DPRD)will study the reasons behind the delay in the implementation of a number of government in the South Sumatra city.

A number of government projects worth tens of billions of rupiahs for the 2015 fiscal year, have been delayed in implementation.

The delay would be noted by the Supreme Audit Board (BPK) contained in an audit report to be evaluated, a member of the city council Merismon said here on Tuesday.

"We will question the delay in the implementation of a number of project packages in a plenary session held to pass four regional draft regulation in the next few days," Merismon said.

Among the projects is renovation of a mosque Masjid Agung As Salam, drainage and Bukit Sulap inclinator, he said.

As for the project of the Kelingi bridge, which is still in the process of tender, Merismon was optimistic that it would be completed as scheduled.

However, the city administration has to settle as soon as possible the land compensation with the land owners as the budget for the project of Rp950 billion was already set aside in 2014, he said.

The city council will also discuss a number of regional financial reports for 2014 such as the use of budget fund and how the fund had been spent, he said.

Spokesman of the city council H Rodi Wijaya said the plenary session to be held on Wednesday would pass four draft regulation of the city administration.

The four draft regulations are on placement of local workers , revision of the regional regulation No. 7 of 2010 on registration of population and civil registration.
