REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Spokesman of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) selection committee (Pansel) Betti Alisjahbana said it will cooperate with several institutions to perform selection of candidates for the leadership of KPK. The invited agencies are Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), KPK, as well as the police.
The meeting with the chiefs of the agency will be started next week. "Next week we will meet with the police chief and leader of PPATK and other institutions because there is cooperation for search a track record of (KPK leader)," said Betty when contacted by ROL on Tuesday, June 2.
She also emphasized that the authority of Pansel only limited to select candidate of KPK leaders. So, it will be conducted searches for track records of candidates. Pansel will also involve public in the selection of candidates for KPK leaders.
Later, the public was expected to provide input to the candidates of KPK leaders who have passed the administrative requirements. "It will include the public involved. Once candidates qualify administrative requirements, we announce to the public in order to provide input," she added.
Besides, the assessment of the public was also expected to provide support and motivation for candidates of KPK leaders. To filter the candidates of KPK leaders, Pansel has also prepared a number of stages of the selection process such as paper writing until interview. Later, the candidates who qualify in the selection will be traced their track record. Registration of candidates for KPK leaders will be opened on June 5-24, 2015.
