REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- At least 14 banks are feasible to serve as providers of 'people business credits' .

So far only three state lenders including Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and Bank Mandiri have provided KUR.

"We offer an opportunity for banks to serve as providers of KUR. If they already meet the conditions, they could submit their applications to the Policy Committee to be processed immediately, Braman Setyo,a deputy for development and restructuring at the Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry6 said.

There are 14 potential banks other than BRI, BNI and Bank Mandiri to server as KUR providers, he said here on Sunday.

The banks include Bank BNI Syariah and 13 development banks owned by regional administrations (BPD) -- PT Bank Syariah, PT Bank Nagari, BPD Aceh, BPD Riau Kepri, BPD Sumsel Babel, BPD Jateng, BPD DIY, BPD Bali, BPD NTT, BPD NTB, BPD Kalbar, BPD Kalsel, BPD Kalteng, and BPD Jambi.

"One of the decisions of the Policy Committee is special condition to become a KUR provider that the bank should establish online system with the guarantor company," Braman said.

He said last year all BPDs automatically became KUR providers , but the regulation has been amended starting this year after evaluation is made of KUR.

Apart from having online system with the guarantor company, non performing loan of KUR providers must be less than 5 percent by December 2014, Braman said.
