DPD RI to hold dialog about prostitution

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The dangers of prostitution was increasingly worsening. In fact, arguably the country is currently in the emergency zone of prostitution.

Vice Chairman of Commission III DPD RI Fahira Idris said that prostitution is increasingly widespread, especially recent circulated video of kids doing adultery.

"Online prostitution has been highly regarded in emergencies today," said Fahira when contacted by ROL, on Tuesday night, May 26.

She assessed that the video as one form of prostitution is alarming Indonesian younger generation Therefore, it seemed important to provide education for the generation of people to avoid the threat of harm prostitution.

Based on this phenomenon, the DPD will hold a state dialogue titled “New Style Prostitution Phenomenon" on Wednesday afternoon, May 27, at 12:00 to 14:30 pm. In the event that will take place at the Coffee Corner of DPD RI Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Fahira will become one of the speakers to explain a number of things related to the dangers of prostitution.

Beside Fahira, other speakers are Secretary of the Department of History Faculty of Humanities University of Indonesia (FIB UI) Bondan Kanumoyoso, professor of sociology FISIP UIN Musni Umar, and author of 'Jakarta Undercover' Moammar Emka.
