Minister Nasir ready to face subpoena by STIE

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Mohamad Natsir did not concerned about subpoena which filed by Private Colleges (PTS). He even invited the STIE Adhy Niaga to defend if necessary.

"We welcome if they want to do a subpoena to us," said Natsir during a press conference about submission of documents preliminary evidence of Private Universities (PTS) which did violation, to the Chief of National Police, Badroddin Haiti, on Tuesday, May 26.

According to Natsir, it was ready to accept the subpoena to be conducted by the PTS. He also said he would prepare the data and accurate evidence to respond.

Natsir also pointed out that PTS's case is still ongoing. It is mean that action against PTS is still waiting decision of audit team which is still conducting an investigation.

The team of seven people on duty to explore and strengthen the data to the PTS which indicates buying and selling fake diplomas, especially in the High School of Economics (STIE) Adhy Niaga.

Earlier, the head of the Bureau of Cooperation between Institutions Campus STIE, Fadil Hasan criticized the workings of the Minister Nasir. According to him, the minister Nasir did not deserve to be a minister.

"We will probably soon to follow up the subpoena related adverse events of this campus," he said on Saturday.

Fadil statement related to the inspection conducted by Minister Nasir on campus STIE Adhy Niaga on last Thursday. The minister accused the campus of buying and selling diplomas. At that time, the minister along his entourage went directly to the lecturer who was teaching in the class. Minister was cursing to the lecturer.
